Invitation for a benefit concert with Phil Lesh. The client, Susan Brand, approached me because she was not happy with the current designer’s work of the event invitation. The goal of the invitation was to mirror the quality of the music of the Berkeley Jazz School, and to spark people’s interest in joing the event.

The task for River Rock Casinos was to launch a Chinese New Year marketing campaign targeting the Chinese audience.
The challenge for me was to research Chinese symbolism and come up with a visual language that is consistent throughout the campaign, and would be perceived by the Chinese viewer as authentic and inviting.
I created a series of posters, rack cards, banners, billboard design, invitations and a newspaper ad. Each item
was produced in English and Chinese.
